The Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) is a permanent capital investment vehicle established by an Act of Parliament and capitalized with US$345 million in anchor equity from the Government of Ghana. GIIF was created as a sovereign-backed platform to identify, develop, invest, manage, and mobilize capital for a diversified portfolio of infrastructure assets in Ghana. Our mandate is to finance commercially viable infrastructure projects that support national development while generating sustainable financial returns for our shareholders and investment partners.
Investment Instruments
We offer flexible instruments tailored to the risk and return profile of each project. GIIF deploys capital through a range of financing structures, including:
- Debt : Senior and subordinated loans for projects with predictable cash flows
- Equity : Direct equity participation in project companies and SPVs
- Hybrid / Mezzanine : Blended debt and equity instruments for complex project needs
- Credit Enhancement: Guarantees and risk mitigation tools to attract co-investors
